【右丁】 次勅使二拝続 宣命 二拝 次神主《割書:雑色一|人召具》 昇橋殿 《割書:従北階|東方昇》 跪 勅使前受  宣命参進于神前 此儀先 勅使ノ前ニ至リ膝  行一揖笏ニ左ノ手ヲ加ヘ右ノ手ニテ笏ノ頭ヲ持テ  笏ヲ右ノ側ニ置キ右ノ手ニテ宣命ヲ受持チ其  宣命ヲ左ノ手ニ移シ右ノ側ナル笏ノ頭ヲ持チ左  ノ手ニテ 宣命ト共ニ笏ヲ持チ右ニ取直シテ  三膝バカリ退キ左ノ足ヨリ立チ北階ノ西ヲ降  此間内蔵官人捧御幣安置于神前案  上唐戸東側ニ設禰宜捧御幣備大床之 【左丁】  机上 次神主於祝詞屋申祝言《割書:此儀先二拝祝言|又二拝拍手》 次神主帰出申返祝詞《割書:片岡社ノ南四目ノ|内岩上ニテ申之》了拍  手 勅使応之拍手《割書:神禄ノ葵ハ預大夫ヨリ|禰宜ニ渡》  先是兼採御帳之御葵桂《割書:挿白|木杖》渡禰宜〳〵  捧来之置北度案上 此儀先案ノ南ヲ東へ  廻リ案ノ北ニ立テ置之懐中ヨリ笏ヲ出シ正笏一  揖但帰路准始 次神主昇橋殿《割書:北階|東方》進御葵桂於 勅使

【右丁】 次に勅使が二拝し、続いて宣命を読み、二拝する。 次に神主《割書:雑色一人を召し具す》が橋殿に昇る《割書:北階東方より昇る》。勅使の前に跪き、 宣命を受けて神前に参進する。この儀式では、まず勅使の前に至って膝行し、 一揖して笏に左の手を添え、右の手で笏の頭を持って 笏を右の側に置き、右の手で宣命を受け取り、その 宣命を左の手に移し、右の側にある笏の頭を持ち、左 の手で宣命と共に笏を持ち、右に取り直して 三膝ばかり退き、左の足より立ち上がって北階の西を降りる。 この間、内蔵官人が御幣を捧持して神前案上の唐戸東側に安置し、禰宜が御幣を捧持して大床の 【左丁】 机上に備える。 次に神主が祝詞屋にて祝言を申す《割書:この儀式では先に二拝し、祝言の後にまた二拝して拍手する》 次に神主が帰り出て返祝詞を申す《割書:片岡社の南四目の内、岩上にてこれを申す》。終わって拍手し、 勅使がこれに応じて拍手する《割書:神禄の葵は預大夫より禰宜に渡す》 これに先立ち、あらかじめ御帳の御葵桂を採り《割書:白木杖に挿す》、禰宜に渡す。禰宜が これを捧持してきて北度案上に置く。この儀式では、まず案の南を東へ 回り、案の北に立ってこれを置き、懐中より笏を出して正笏で一揖する。 ただし帰路は始めに準ずる。 次に神主が橋殿に昇り《割書:北階東方より》、御葵桂を勅使に進める。

He kneels before the imperial messenger, receives the imperial edict, and advances to the divine presence. In this ceremony, he first approaches the imperial messenger and moves forward on his knees, performs one bow, places his left hand on the ceremonial tablet, holds the head of the tablet with his right hand, places the tablet on his right side, receives the imperial edict with his right hand, then transfers the edict to his left hand, takes hold of the head of the tablet on his right side with his left hand holding both the edict and tablet together, adjusts them to the right, retreats about three knee-lengths, rises starting with his left foot, and descends the western side of the northern steps. During this time, the treasury official carries the sacred offerings and places them on the divine altar table on the eastern side of the Chinese doors, and the assistant priest carries sacred offerings and places them on the great platform's 【Left Page】 table. In this ceremony, he first goes around from the south of the table to the east, stands at the north of the table and places them there, takes out the ceremonial tablet from his bosom and performs one bow with the tablet held properly. However, the return path follows the beginning procedure.
