役(の辞退)を願い出たところ、お役御免はなりがたいので、保養をしながら引き続き勤めるよう仰せ付けられた。
一、同五辰年〔1748年〕三月、土常様〔土井能登守常弘〕が初めて御参府(将軍への参勤)をされるにあたり、お供として勤番のために江戸へ上り、同八月に帰国した。
一、同年四月、土常様のお供の御用を精を出して勤めたことにより、御古麻の御上下一具を御前にて下し置かれた。

一、同年八月、陣中において精を出して勤めたことにより、御褒美として御古麻の御上下一具を御前にて下し置かれた。
一、寛延三午年〔1750年〕正月、願いの通り御役御免となり、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、三宅孫兵衛組に入り、お城の御番を勤めた。
一、同年八月、病気につき願いの上、小番請料を差し上げた(返上した)。
一、宝暦五亥年〔1755年〕五月十九日、五十一歳にて病死。法名:覚性院玄祐。葬所:同上(前記と同じ)。

He petitioned to resign from his post [due to hearing loss, continued from the previous page], but was told that his resignation could not be granted, and was instead ordered to take care of his health while continuing to serve in his duties.
Item: In the 3rd month of the 5th year [Enkyō 5, 1748], the Year of the Dragon, upon Lord Tōjō's [Doi Noto-no-kami Tsunehiro's] first official attendance on the Shogun (gosanpu), he traveled to Edo to serve as an escort on rotation duty, and returned home in the 8th month of the same year.
Item: In the 4th month of the same year, in recognition of his diligent service as escort to Lord Tōjō, he was granted a set of formal ceremonial dress (kamishimo) of old hemp cloth [御古麻御上下] in the presence of the lord.

Item: In the 8th month of the same year, in recognition of his diligent service during the campaign [or military encampment], he was awarded, as a mark of commendation, a set of formal ceremonial dress (kamishimo) of old hemp cloth in the presence of the lord.
Item: In the 1st month of Kan'en 3 [1750], the Year of the Horse, his petition was granted and he was relieved of his official post, and was assigned to the Tozama-gumi (outer guard unit), entering the unit of Miyake Magobei, where he served as castle guard.
Item: In the 8th month of the same year, due to illness, upon petition, he returned his stipend for light guard duty (koban ukeryō).
Item: On the 19th day of the 5th month of Hōreki 5 [1755], the Year of the Boar, he died of illness at the age of 51. Posthumous Buddhist name: Kakushō-in Genyū. Place of burial: Same as above (as previously recorded).
