央（あう）に宝舟（たからふね）といへる文字（もんし）

道祖神祭り
毎年正月十四日にこれを開催する。この地域の子どもたちが多く集まって、菱垣造りにした小さな船に五色の幣帛を立て、松竹なども装飾し、その中央に「宝舟」という文字を染めた幟を立てたものを担いで、声を合わせて歌いながら連れ立ってこの辺りを練り歩く。その夜、子どもたちが集まって遊び戯れるのを恒例としている。

Dosojin Festival
This festival is held every year on the 14th day of the first month. Many children from this area gather together and carry small boats made in the hikaki style, decorated with colorful ritual paper streamers (gohei) and pine and bamboo ornaments, with banners bearing the characters "treasure ship" (takarabune) erected in the center. They parade around the neighborhood in groups, singing in unison. That evening, it is customary for the children to gather together to play and frolic.
