Dainagon Tsunenobu had previously visited Kamo and made selections and offerings, which was reported privately. This marked the beginning of pilgrimages to the forty-eight locations. Naritugu (second son of Narisuke): Appointed on the twenty-third day of the sixth month of Kanji 5 (1091), died in the eleventh month of Ten'nin 2 (1109), served for eighteen years, known as the Ike no Kami-nushi (Pond Shrine Master). At this time, in Kanji 6 (1092), Buddhist monks for the imperial sutra reading hall were first established, and in Jōtoku 2 (1098), the Imperial Thirty Lectures began. Initially, there were eight lectures. When we trace the origins of these Thirty Lectures, they arose from divine oracles. The reason was that there was an imperial oracle stating that His Majesty enviously regarded the worship lectures of Hiyoshi Shrine, and thus these Thirty Lectures were begun. In Kōwa 1 (1099), the Buddha-name ceremonies were initiated. At this time, in Kanji 6 (1092), at Ichihara Plain, Negi Katakawa Narisada first drew his monogram, and now he has become a shoshi-dayū official. In the same seventh year (1093), imperial kagura was begun. On the fifth day of the fifth month of the same year, because there was an iris root competition among the Retired Emperor's court ladies, the left faction held horse racing at our shrine on the ninth day, while the right faction held horse racing at Iwashimizu Shrine on the thirteenth day. At this time, there were two reconstruction ceremonies of the main shrine. The first was during Emperor Horikawa's reign in Kōwa 5 (1108), reported to the throne on the twenty-eighth day of the third month, and completed within seven months. The reconstruction ceremony was held on the fourth day of the ninth month of the same year. This was twenty-three years after the previous reconstruction. At this time, on the thirteenth day of the fourth month of Kajō 1 (1106), a fire broke out from the oil storage room in front of the shrine, and the main hall immediately burst into flames. Assistant Head Priest Sukesuke entered the inner sanctuary, embraced the sacred body, and transferred it to Kifune Shingū Shrine. At that time, the shrine supervisor was sentenced to exile. Due to this conflagration, during Emperor Horikawa's reign in Kajō 1 (1106), the roof-raising ceremony was held on the second day of the seventh month, and the reconstruction ceremony on the twenty-sixth day of the same month. This was twenty-five days after the roof-raising of the temporary hall. Due to the fire, this corresponded to four years after the previous reconstruction year, with an interval of two years in between. Sukesuke (third son of Narisuke): Appointed on the nineteenth day of the eleventh month of Ten'nin 2 (1109), died on the twenty-fifth day of the third month of Hōan 2 (1121) at age sixty-eight, served for twelve years, known as Dai-nyūdō no Kami-nushi (Great Monk Shrine Master), also called Sasaki-no of the shrine administration. At this time, he was first granted the fourth court rank. A certain diary states he was appointed from assistant head priest on the nineteenth day of the eleventh month of Ten'ei 2 (1111), so it may have been in his tenth year of service. During Sukesuke's time, in Emperor Toba's reign in Ten'ei 3 (1112), there was a reconstruction and ceremony for the main shrine. The previous...
