This corresponded to seven years after the previous reconstruction ceremony. Next, at this time, on the twentieth day of the sixth month of Eikyū 4 (1116), the pagoda dedication ceremony of Kamo Wakeikazuchi Shrine was held. Narike (first son of Naritugu): Appointed on the twenty-seventh day of the third month of Hōan 2 (1121), died on the twenty-ninth day of the fourth month of Tenshō 1 (1131), served for ten years, known as Kawabata no Kami-nushi (Riverside Shrine Master), also called Ike no Shamu (Pond Shrine Administrator). Narihira (second son of Naritugu): Appointed on the thirteenth day of the fourth month of Tenshō 2 (1132) at age fifty-two, died in Hōen 2 (1136) at age fifty-six, served for four years, known as Yamamoto Kami-nushi (Mountain Base Shrine Master). Narishige (first son of Sukesuke): Appointed on the thirteenth day of the fourth month of Hōen 2 (1136). According to certain records, he appears to have been appointed on the thirteenth day of the fourth month of Chōshō 2 (1133). This is questionable and should be investigated. Died in the eleventh month of Kyūan 1 (1145), served for nine years, known as Minami no Kami-nushi (Southern Shrine Master). At this time, on the sixteenth day of the third month of Kōji 2 (1143), the dedication ceremony of Kamo Shrine's Buddhist temple was held. There were also two reconstructions of the main shrine. The first was during Emperor Sutoku's reign: the ceremonial adze ritual began on the first day of the second month of Hōen 6 (1140), and the reconstruction ceremony was held on the fourth day of the eighth month of the same year. This was within seven months from the ceremonial beginning month. This was twenty-nine years after the previous reconstruction. The second time was during Emperor Konoe's reign: the roof-raising ceremony on the twenty-third day of the third month of Kōji 2 (1143), and the reconstruction ceremony on the fourth day of the eighth month of the same year. This was within six months. This corresponded to four years after the previous reconstruction. The previous timber was from Horikawa wood, so it was rebuilt. For this reason, Horikawa wood is not used for the reconstruction timber of our shrine. Shigetsugu (second son of Sukesuke): Appointed on the third day of the eleventh month of Kyūan 1 (1145) at age sixty-one, died in Ninpei 2 (1152) at age sixty-eight, served for six years, known as Kita no Kami-nushi (Northern Shrine Master). However, while it was eight years from Kyūan 1 to Ninpei 2, his shrine administration position was suspended on the twenty-fourth day of the twelfth month of Kyūan 4 (1147), so it may have been six years of actual service. At that time, Chief Priest Yasuhisa was made acting administrator, and after one year had passed, he was restored to his original position on the twenty-ninth day of the seventh month of the sixth year. This suspension occurred because clan members raised an army of several hundred people and attacked and burned down Daiun-ji temple. During Shigetsugu's time, the Complete Sutras Assembly was begun in Kyūan 3 (1146).
