On the first day of the eighth month, he was dismissed from his shrine administration position and exiled to a distant island (at age fifty-one). Following this, he was never permitted to return to the capital, and died at Dazaifu in Chinzei on the tenth day of the sixth month of Jōō 2 (1223) (at age fifty-three). He served for seven years and was known as Kamiu of Tsukushi. This Yoshihisa purchased several chō of Nōda fields within the shrine precincts and donated them in perpetuity to the shrine community. What are now called the eastern and western Kidai-banta fields are these. Next, during this shrine administrator's time, in Kenpō 3 (1215), a great wind blew and damaged the shrine buildings in countless ways - beyond description. Also during Yoshihisa's era, on the twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month of Kenpō 3, regarding Ōta-negi Kiyohira having killed a shrine servant of Hakusan in Kaga Province, due to Kunitaka's complaint and Sanmon's petition, on the thirteenth day of the second month of the same fourth year, imperial offerings were sent to Kamo Shrine. During Emperor Juntoku's reign, in Kenpō 8 (?), construction began on the seventh day of the eighth month, the ridge-raising ceremony was held on the twenty-ninth day of the tenth month of the same year, and the shrine reconstruction ceremony was on the seventeenth day of the twelfth month. This was eighteen years after the previous reconstruction. Yoshihisa once undertook a seventeen-day religious retreat at the shrine. At that time, there was a divine revelation in a dream from the Great Deity of this shrine, who said: "In the village of Miwa in Yamato Province, there is a Shingon master. If you invite this Shingon master to establish a temple and venerate the esoteric teachings, it will fulfill my divine will." The deity revealed this anew. At that time, Yoshihisa awoke from the dream and, without even returning home, donned pure vestments and, starting from the outer torii gate, mounted his horse and opened his saddle, following the dream's guidance to seek out Miwa in Yamato. When he inquired about the details, there was indeed a practitioner of esoteric Buddhism. When he saw his appearance, it was exactly as seen in the dream, without the slightest difference. Although Yoshihisa explained the circumstances as they were, the man repeatedly declined. However, when Yoshihisa earnestly requested again that he should accompany him, the man finally agreed and returned with him to this place. They selected an auspicious site, established a temple, enshrined the esoteric teachings, and appointed him as the abbot. This is what is meant by "the sage of Miwa." This is the present Kawaraya-ji Shinkō-in temple, also known as Hōdō-in. Shigemasa (son of Shigeyasu) Appointed on the first day of the eighth month of Jōkyū 3 (1221) at age eighty, died on the twenty-eighth day of the seventh month of Karoku 1 (1225) at age eighty-four, served for four years, known as Gotōgi no Kami-nushi (Later Tōgi Shrine Master). At this time, on the twenty-ninth day of the second month after Jōō 2, fire from the Yuiseu-bō hermitage at Kifune reached the treetops of the great tree at Kawao Shrine, and the shrine officials and shrine community were greatly concerned...
