ことも、それに従って立つ場所のことは、その身の
心寄せや便宜によって立つべきである。ただし軒がかりの
方は貴人や主人などの方であるから、そう安易に
立ってはならない。それも様子に従って、貴人の仰せ
であれば辞退すべきではない。およそ立つ場所に
ついては、蹴鞠の足前（技量）の程度によって、その時の堪能者または
先達、主人等が相談して立てることがある。その理由
は、未熟な者の傍には速い足（巧者）を立て、
あるいは老人のかたわらには若い故実の
人を立てて鞠を続かせるための配慮として心
得て、配置して立つべきである。まして公宴など
においては勅定に従って立つこともあり、上
席の順序に従って心寄せの場所々々へ進み寄って参るため、
扇末（最下位）の人は公方や貴人のお傍
などが空いている所で、そう安易に立つことは

Generally, regarding standing positions, arrangements are sometimes made based on the level of kemari skill, with the most capable person of the time, senior practitioners, hosts, and others consulting together. The reason for this is that next to inexperienced players, skilled players are positioned, or beside elderly players, young people knowledgeable in proper forms are placed, with the understanding that this arrangement helps maintain the ball in play, and positions should be allocated accordingly. Moreover, at public banquets and such occasions, positioning may follow imperial decree, and as people advance to their preferred positions according to hierarchical order, those of lowest rank find empty spaces near the shogun or nobles, but must not stand there carelessly.
