昨九日八ツ時ゟ江戸川之水泥之様ニ相成甚ダ
怪敷何方ゟ流来り候哉根付立木打折
候様相成人家道具材木之類悉ク細ニ相成
一面押流参候尤人之死骸馬抔切レ〳〵に相
見ヘ申候夥敷流通申候夜五ツ過ニ相成候て
流物相へリ夫より流れ止み申候誠ニ是迄ニ無御座

続焼石砂降六日之夜に入頻ニ降雷繁敷

一、伊奈半左衛門様へ訴状左の通り
昨日九日八ツ時から江戸川の水が泥のようになり、甚だ怪しく、どこから流れ来たのか、根付きの立木が打ち折れるような状態になり、人家の道具や材木の類がことごとく細かくなり、一面に押し流されて参りました。もっとも人の死骸や馬なども切れ切れに見え申し、おびただしく流れ通って申します。夜五ツ過ぎ（午後8時頃）になって流れ物が減り、それより流れが止み申しました。誠にこれまでにない変事につき、まずこの段早々御届け申し上げ候。以上

Yesterday on the 9th, from the hour of the Monkey (around 3 PM), the water of the Edo River became like mud, extremely strange. We do not know from where it flowed, but rooted standing trees were broken and snapped, household goods and lumber were all reduced to fragments, and everything was swept away across the entire area. Moreover, human corpses and horses appeared in pieces, flowing through in great numbers. After the fifth hour of the night (around 8 PM), the flowing debris decreased, and thereafter the flow stopped. This being truly an unprecedented calamity, we hastily report this matter first. End.

Mount Asama in Shinano Province has been erupting since late last month. In my domain of Isesaki in Kozuke Province, there have been frequent tremors, and on the night of the 2nd of this month it rained and there was rumbling again. The next morning volcanic ash fell, and from past noon on the 5th there was rumbling, and at night volcanic ash fell. From then the rumbling was heard continuously without cease, volcanic stones and ash fell continuously, and on the night of the 6th there was frequent thunder.
