此書モ亦先賢未発ノ一術ニシテ翁カ年来工夫発明スル処ノ奇帆也尤用費微小ニシテ

凡ソ山家辺鄙ニテ眼科ト唱フル者ノ治法ヲ察スルニ其家秘ト称スル所点剤丸薬末
薬等僅￣ニ一二法ニ過スシテ病症ノ異同アルニ拘ラス悉ク同剤ヲ以テ治セントス故ニ病重キ症

この書もまた先人が未だ発見していなかった一つの術であって、翁が長年にわたって工夫・発明した奇妙な帆装置である。とりわけ使用費用が僅少であり、その妙用・便利なること古今無比の珍しい器械とすべきである。例えば、四隅八方、順風・逆風・左右いずれの風も嫌わず、海上を往来するのに縦横自在である。それのみならず、風に逆らって飛走する時には特に迅速であり、蒸気船に劣らない。ゆえに「衝風飛船」と名付ける。この器械を千石積み以下の船に取り付け、諸荷物の運輸に用いる時には、即日千里（遠方）に到着し、諸港での風待ち滞留の費用を省き、船中の雑費を最小限にとどめ、かつ難船・荷打ち・遠着などの難もなく、異国へ漂流する怪我もなく、外国の者が送り来て御国の禁制を犯す手がかりもなくなるに至るであろう。これもまた国益の一助と言うべき一奇書である。
察病捷径（さっびょうしょうけい） 三巻
そもそも山間の辺鄙な地域で眼科を名乗る者の治療法を見るに、その家伝秘法と称するところの点剤・丸薬・末薬などは、わずかに一・二法にすぎず、病症の異同があるにもかかわらず、すべて同じ薬剤をもって治療しようとする。ゆえに病の重い症状は、ついに治らない廃人となる者がある。まことに嘆かわしいことである。そもそも眼の病気の諸症状は、内外の諸病に起因するものが多い。その元の病気を攻めなければ、わずかの効果も得られないことがある。しかしながら、内外諸科にわたってすべて練磨しようとする時には、その費用も少なくなく、あるいは力の及ばないことを恐れる。今この書は、翁が先師より受け伝えた口授の秘蔵の術であって、眼病はもちろん、内科・外科・婦人科・小児科の諸症状、疑似・類病・併病など見分けにくい病症に至るまで、すべて弁別して、素人でも速やかに観察して、的確な処方を施すことが自由にできる一奇書である。もとより博学な国手（優れた医者）が

ご覧になるべきものではない。ただ、あの辺鄙な地で師に乏しい医者、あるいは医療に不自由な海辺・山間の辺鄙な村において、病症も知らぬ素人による不当な売薬などによって不治に至ろうとするのを救うために、これを家に秘しておかず、広く世に弘めるというものである。

そもそも本命・的殺・都天・五黄・金神・三煞・大将軍・鬼門などの大凶方位を犯す時には、難病・死絶・災害が並び至ると言う。その言葉は虚偽ではない。ゆえに吉方を選んで用いようとすれば、三年・五年も凶殺が一方に打ち続き、望む方位を得ることができない。この書は、翁が多年にわたって試験して災害の有無を弁別し、凶方であっても犯し用いてわずかもその祟りを受けない術があって、年々月々差し支えないことを発明し、無益なことを省き、実用を記し、詳しく方位の吉凶を説き諭して、諸人に幸福を得させようとするものである。まことに吉凶をすぐに知ることができる一奇書である。

この書は近世の事実を記したものであって、人の危難・九死に一生・難病などを救い助けて、その陽報（善行への報い）が歴然と来たった事、また陰悪（隠れた悪事）をなしてその祟りの早かったこと等の実際の事を輯録したものである。とりわけ平仮名で婦女子にも読みやすく、面白い書である。

This book is likewise a technique never before discovered by earlier sages — a remarkable sail device invented by the venerable author through many years of ingenuity and invention. Its cost of use is particularly modest, and its wondrous utility and convenience make it a device unparalleled throughout all ages. For example, it takes no offense at any wind from any of the four corners or eight directions — favorable, contrary, left, or right — and moves freely back and forth across the sea in any direction. Moreover, when flying forward against the wind, it is especially swift and not inferior to a steamship. For this reason, it is named the "Wind-Charging Flying Vessel." When this device is fitted to vessels of one thousand koku capacity or less and used for transporting goods, one can arrive at a destination a thousand ri away on the same day, saving the expenses of waiting for favorable winds at various ports, minimizing miscellaneous costs aboard ship, and moreover avoiding such perils as shipwreck, jettisoning of cargo, and missing one's destination. It will also eliminate the danger of drifting to foreign lands and the risk of foreigners using such vessels as a means to come and violate our nation's prohibitions. This too is a remarkable book that may be said to contribute to the benefit of the nation.

In general, many of the various eye conditions have their origins in various internal and external diseases of the body. Unless one attacks those underlying conditions, no effect whatsoever may be obtained. Yet when one seeks to master all branches of internal and external medicine in their entirety, the expense is not inconsiderable, and one may fear that one's capabilities may fall short. This book presents the secret orally-transmitted art that the venerable author received from his teacher, and it is a remarkable work by which anyone — even a layperson — can swiftly examine and freely prescribe an appropriate remedy for not only eye diseases, but all conditions of internal medicine, surgery, women's medicine, and pediatrics, as well as conditions that are difficult to identify such as similar diseases, related conditions, and concurrent illnesses. It is by no means intended for the perusal of erudite expert physicians,

but rather, in order to rescue those in remote places with few medical teachers, or people in coastal and mountain villages inconvenienced by the lack of medical access, who might otherwise become incurable through inappropriate patent medicines prescribed by laypeople with no knowledge of illness — for their sake, this is not kept secret within the household but is instead disseminated widely throughout the world.
A Quick Guide to Auspicious and Inauspicious Directions (Compiled Through Many Years of Testing) Complete
It is said that when one transgresses the great inauspicious directions such as one's birth-star direction (honmei), the directly lethal direction (tekisetsu), the Dotensha direction, the Five Yellow direction (gokō), the Golden Deity direction (konjin), the Three Calamities direction (sansetsu), the Great General direction (daishōgun), and the Demon Gate (kimon), difficult illness, death, and disaster will arrive together. These words are not false. It is truly a remarkable book that allows one to quickly determine what is auspicious and what is inauspicious.
