初日の御出役
御奉行様お一人
右のお下がりの節、二本立ての外、東の方に控え
小頭衆一人、次にこちら三人が上下で出席
西横丁谷へ鉾持、村役人、次事方へ
町代一人ずつ袴羽織にて申し出るよう
御支配・御代官がお出での節、こちらは同所
または鉾持町の内にて御目通り申し上げる。町代
の件は右同断

at Gongen shrine. Records are kept in the Saru year official ledger.
First day official duties
One magistrate
When the above official departs, station [personnel] to the east outside the two-pole stands
One petty officer, then three of our people in formal dress attending
To West Yokochō valley, spear-bearers, village officials, assistant clerks
One town representative each to appear in hakama and haori
When the administrator and deputy magistrate appear, we [station ourselves] at the same location
or within Hokoji-chō for audience. The matter of town representatives
is handled the same way
Middle days
One administrator and two deputy magistrates
appear
Same as final day
Both magistrates and all deputy magistrate offices
without exception have official duties
During proxy worship
Shinto priest, main courtyard, ablution area, water basin -
guidance provided; when returning, escort down to
below the first torii gate as observed
Magistrates station themselves east and west below the gate
Downstream deputy magistrates and town administrators [station themselves]
beside the first torii gate
Petty officers, we and town representatives proceed to the sacred golden
courtyard. Naturally we [attend] as representatives in formal dress
