蝉が脱皮しようとしている。その状態はこのようである。
しっかりと木の葉を抱いて、背中が裂けて出てくる。とても
ゆっくりと、徐々に脱皮して出てくる。

【下段】
蜉蝣《割書：本草綱目蜣螂の項目に付録として時珍が説明している》
　蜣螂（フンコロガシ）に似ているが指先ほどの大きさで、体は細くて
　長く、角があり、黄黒色をしている。これは水生昆虫の
　蜉蝣とは異なる。　　　辛巳年三月十五日、小さな
　庭で　　　　　　これを採取した。この虫の尻尾は
　木の根を　　　　貫通し、根の先端は土中に入って抜けないため
　出ることが　　　できず、ついに枯れ死んでしまう。左側に描いた

A cicada about to molt. Its condition is like this.
It firmly grasps the tree leaves, its back splits open and emerges. Very
slowly, it gradually molts and comes out.

　Similar to a dung beetle but about the size of a fingertip, with a narrow and
　long body, having horns, yellow-black in color. This is different from the aquatic insect
　mayfly.　　　　　On the 15th day of the third month of the Xinsi year, in a small

　tree roots,　　　　the root tip enters the soil and cannot be extracted, so it
　cannot　　　　　escape and eventually dies. What is drawn on the left

　The ground color is black with a slight reddish luster. When illuminated by
