【右丁上段】
墨客揮犀云有虫状如蝉形小而匾好隠於屋壁
及書策中前有両長足如蟹螯触後則旁行触
前則却行有鄭秀才戯以手指再三𫝼之欲観其行
忽為所螫痛臥数日遇良毉治之得愈毉云此名
悪颯不治殺人
案ルニ下ニ図スル処右ニ所謂悪颯ナルベシアトビサリ
ノ名砂捊子#1ト同名ナレ共実ハ沙捊子#1ノ類ニ非ス
別ニ一種ノ小虫ナリ

現代語訳

【右丁上段】
『墨客揮犀』によれば、セミのような形をしているが小さく平たい虫がおり、屋根や壁、また書物の中に隠れるのを好む。前に二本の長い足があり、カニのはさみのようで、後ろを触ると横に進み、前を触ると後ろに進む。鄭という秀才が手の指で何度もこれを突いて、その動きを観察しようとしたところ、突然刺され、痛みで数日間寝込んだ。良い医者に治療してもらってようやく治った。医者によれば、これは「悪颯」という名前で、治療しなければ人を殺すという。

調べてみると、下に図示した右のものが、いわゆる悪颯であろう。アトビサリの名前は砂挼子と同じ名前であるが、実際には砂挼子の類ではなく、別の一種の小虫である。

【Right page, upper section】
According to the "Bokkyaku Kisai" (Ink Guest's Rhinoceros Whisk), there is an insect that resembles a cicada in shape but is small and flat, preferring to hide in roofs, walls, and among books. It has two long legs in front like crab claws; when touched from behind, it moves sideways, and when touched from the front, it moves backward. A scholar named Zheng playfully poked it repeatedly with his finger to observe its movement, when suddenly he was stung and lay in pain for several days. He was treated by a good physician and recovered. The doctor said this was called "evil sà" and would kill a person if left untreated.

Upon investigation, what is illustrated below on the right should be the so-called "evil sà." The name "atobisari" is the same as "sha-nuo-zi," but in reality it is not a type of sha-nuo-zi, but rather a separate species of small insect.
