て用意して急（きう）に備（そなへ）たるかよし炭火のうへにてわらを
焚（たく）は火気を和（やわら）けん為（ため）なりまゆ性（じやう）宜しといへとも右の心得

雨天抔には濡たる桑の葉を取新しき筵へ薄くちらし乾し用ゆ
かくのことくの節に至り伐（きり）桑あれは枝桑にてかけ干するゆへ
格別乾きやすく手くりも宜ものなれは別巻（べつくはん）にもくはしく書記（かきしるし）
たることく伐桑（きりくわ）は専一に心懸置べし庭起なとの節は幾重（いくへ）にも
心を尽（つく）し干乾し用ゆべし

て用意して急に備えたのが良い。炭火の上で藁を
焚くのは火気を和らげるためである。繭の性質は良いといっても、右の心得
を疎かにして蛹を出せば、これまでの辛労が無益になってしまう。
ここから養蚕中の万般の心得を記す
一 すべて養蚕中、雨露に濡れた桑を与えれば病蚕になり、繭も
悪くなる。いつでも前の日に心がけて貯蔵し用いるべきである。しかしながら、あまり乾
き過ぎた葉も悪いものであるから、桑の上に障りのない木の枝葉を
かけて置き、霧を吹いて、あまり濡れない程度に心がけて貯蔵し用いるべきである。数日の

雨天などには、濡れた桑の葉を取り、新しい筵に薄く散らして乾かして用いる。
このような時に切り桑があれば、枝桑にして掛け干しするので
格別乾きやすく、手入れも良いものであるから、別巻にも詳しく書き記した
通り、切り桑は専一に心がけて置くべきである。梅雨などの時は幾重にも
心を尽くして干し乾かして用いるべきである。
一 蚕が桑を食い終わって自然と集まって居るのを「蚕寄り」という。毛蚕から高蚕まで
は羽箒で藁たの明き間並びに藁たの際通りを見計らって直し、触れ合わない
ように置く。それ以後は手で取って広げ、桑をかけるべきである。右の手順はそれに
ばかり世話することでもなく、始終共に桑をかける時は
右のように心を用いて良い。右の手入れなく桑を掛ければ、蚕は桑を

One: Throughout sericulture, if mulberry wet with rain and dew is given, the silkworms will become diseased, and the cocoons will also
be poor. At all times, one should take care to store them the day before and use them. However, leaves that are too
dried are also bad, so one should place harmless tree branches and leaves
over the mulberry, spray mist so they don't get too wet, and carefully store and use them. During several days of

rainy weather, take wet mulberry leaves, scatter them thinly on new mats and dry them before use.
At such times, if there are cut mulberry branches, they can be hung and dried as branch mulberry, so
they dry exceptionally well and are easy to handle. As written in detail in a separate volume,
cut mulberry should be prepared with special care. During the rainy season, one should
take utmost care to dry them thoroughly before use.
One: When silkworms finish eating mulberry and naturally gather together, this is called "silkworm gathering." From young larvae to mature larvae,
use a feather broom to check the spaces between the straw mats and along the edges, adjust them, and place them so they don't
touch each other. After that, take them by hand, spread them out, and apply mulberry. These procedures are not
only for special care, but throughout the process when applying mulberry,
one should be mindful as described above. If mulberry is applied without proper care, the silkworms will not properly consume the mulberry.
