一 在々用水掛引井路之儀川中に井堰を立水を
引わけ候処堰之仕方により川下之井水令不足
にも無構手前勝手之宜様にのみ仕候故及争論
或両頬に井口有之場所片頬之井口付替候時
双方不申合一方之自由に任せ仕替候故令出訴候
類有之候自今右躰之儀双方致相対普請仕
節者立合無障様ニ可致候若滞儀有之歟又者
不法之事仕候時者其節より十二ケ月を限於訴
之者可有裁断右期月過令出訴候候ハヽ不取上候事
一 郡境村境山野之論又者質田地等之儀其外奉行
所江訴出候事に付証拠無之非分之儀をも何角
与申紛し又証拠有之儀ニ年経候得者其事
を申掠及出訴相手村方之難儀に及せ其上双
方村々困窮之元に成不届ニ候条向後如斯之
筋不訴出若此類之事訴出僉議之上巧之訳相
知候におゐてハ其咎め可申付候事

一 在郷の用水に関する取水路の件について、川中に井堰を築いて水を引き分けているが、堰の作り方によって川下の井戸水が不足することになっても構わずに、自分勝手な都合の良いようにのみ行うため争論に及ぶ。或いは両岸に取水口がある場所で、片岸の取水口を付け替える時、双方が申し合わせをせずに一方の自由に任せて付け替えるため訴訟になる類がある。今後このような件については、双方が相談して普請を行う際は立ち会って支障のないように行うこと。もし滞りがあるか、または不法なことを行った時は、その時から十二ヶ月を限って訴えた者に対して裁断を下す。右の期限を過ぎて訴え出た場合は取り上げない。
一 郡境・村境・山野の争いまたは質田地等の件、その他奉行所へ訴え出る事について、証拠がないのに理不尽な件でも何かと申し紛らわし、また証拠がある件についても年を経てからその事を言い掠めて訴訟を起こし、相手村方を難儀に陥らせ、その上双方の村々の困窮の元となることは不届きである。よって今後はこのような筋の訴えを出してはならない。もしこの類の事を訴え出て、評議の上で巧妙な企みの訳が分かった場合は、その咎めを申し付ける。

1. Regarding irrigation waterways in rural areas: When weirs are built in rivers to divert water, some construct their weirs in ways that cause water shortages for downstream wells, but they proceed only for their own convenience without regard for others, leading to disputes. Or in places where there are intake channels on both banks, when relocating an intake channel on one bank, they do so at the discretion of one side without mutual consultation between both parties, resulting in lawsuits. From now on, regarding such matters, when both sides consult and carry out construction work, they shall attend together to ensure there are no obstructions. If there are delays or illegal acts are committed, judgment shall be rendered to those who file suit within twelve months from that time. If suits are filed after this time limit has passed, they will not be accepted.
1. Regarding disputes over county boundaries, village boundaries, mountains and fields, or matters concerning mortgaged rice fields, and other matters brought to the magistrate's office: Even in unreasonable cases without evidence, people make various excuses and obfuscate the issues. Even in cases where there is evidence, they bring up old matters after years have passed and file lawsuits, causing hardship to the opposing villages, and moreover becoming a source of impoverishment for villages on both sides, which is inexcusable. Therefore, henceforth such types of suits shall not be filed. If such cases are brought forward and upon deliberation their cunning nature becomes apparent, punishment shall be imposed.
