より立各目代へ遣請取書持参也陸奥介分二反目代へ立沙汰人へ弐百文
立但し右之内ヘ西賀茂ノ《割書：杉木｜》壱斗と《割書：ミツカキ｜》八升納之也
十五日丁丑雨御家門御流被下如例年也
十六日戌亥晴新四頭人保誠より被相招主斗朝より行但馬介不参夕飯
より季若行予夕飯後為祝行御初穂米弐升酒三升送之亦新
二頭人季新より予夕飯に已招行御酒二升送之也
十八日庚辰晴西中手寄會始三人共令不参了
廿一日癸未雨手代蔵是迄越前介重誠方へ手習に行之処相断更
隆蔵経寧方へ讀書相頼今日行初扇子料銀弐匁送之詩経也
廿三日乙酉晴惣老若有之予出番也庚清ヘ代勤相頼了趣旨三宅左膳
之介家出勘当届有之返上位記被放社家列披露也云々
廿六日戊子晴被官亀四郎母死年八十六香奠南鐐一片遣之了
廿七日己丑曇今暁寅前刻より誓願寺方丈本堂鐘楼堂等令焼失
三人共御家門へ出仕伺御機嫌也

現代語訳
九日辛未晴れ、経紀が年始の参社をする。経啓は昨日の歓楽のため延引し、今日同伴する。
十二日甲戌晴れ、奏事始を例年の如く行う。
十四日丙子雨、御結鎮四反立のうち一反は目代へ持参させるため遣わす。一反は三ノ池ノ尻の権七より立て、二反は什屋の山作より立て、各々目代へ遣わし請取書を持参する。陸奥介分二反は目代へ立て、沙汰人へ二百文を立てる。但しこの中へ西賀茂の杉木一斗と三ツ掻き八升を納める。
十五日丁丑雨、御家門の御流しを例年の如く賜る。
十六日戌亥晴れ、新四頭人保誠より招かれ、主斗朝より行く。但馬介は参らず。夕飯より季若が行き、予は夕飯後祝いのため行く。御初穂米二升・酒三升を送る。また新二頭人季新より予を夕飯に招かれ行く。御酒二升を送る。
十八日庚辰晴れ、西中手寄会始、三人とも参らず終わる。
二十一日癸未雨、手代蔵はこれまで越前介重誠方へ手習いに行っていたところ、相断りして更に隆蔵が経寧方へ読書を相頼み、今日行き始める。扇子料銀二匁を送る。詩経なり。
二十三日乙酉晴れ、総老若があり、予が出番なり。庚清へ代勤を相頼み終わる。趣旨は三宅左膳之介の家出勘当の届けがあり、位記を返上し社家列より放たれ披露される。云々。
二十六日戊子晴れ、被官亀四郎の母死去、年八十六。香奠として南鐐一片を遣わし終わる。
二十七日己丑曇り、今暁寅の前刻より誓願寺の方丈・本堂・鐘楼堂等が焼失する。三人とも御家門へ出仕し御機嫌を伺う。
二月大
五日丙申晴れ、春日祭なり。○御家門百匁掛の御講二十一会目につき三本木へ出役すること例の如し。
六日丁卯晴れ、木田庄左衛門の手代が年頭御礼に参上。この度金千両当りの講を催されるにつき、右手代宇七の勤功も兼ね初めて御対顔を仰せ付けられ、後に御祝いの酒飯等を下される。

9th day, Day of the Metal Sheep, clear weather. Keiki makes his New Year's visit to the shrine. Keikei was delayed due to yesterday's festivities, so he accompanies him today.
12th day, Day of the Wood Dog, clear weather. The first formal report ceremony of the year is conducted as usual.
14th day, Day of the Fire Rat, rain. Of the four tan of rice for the sacred purification ceremony, one tan is sent to be delivered to the deputy. One tan is provided by Gonshichi from Sanno-Ikenooshiri, and two tan by Yamasaku from Jūya, each sent to their respective deputies with receipts brought back. For Mutsu-no-suke's portion, two tan are provided to the deputy, and 200 mon are provided to the administrator. However, one to of cedar wood from Nishi-Kamo and eight shō of three-pronged rakes are included in this.
15th day, Day of the Fire Ox, rain. The imperial family's ceremonial streaming is bestowed as in previous years.
16th day, Day of the Earth Boar, clear weather. Invited by the new fourth leader Hossei, Shutō goes from morning. Tajima-no-suke does not attend. From the evening meal, Kiwaka goes, and I go after the evening meal for congratulations. I send two shō of first-fruit rice and three shō of sake. Also, the new second leader Kishin invites me for the evening meal and I go. I send two shō of honorable sake.
18th day, Day of the Metal Dragon, clear weather. The western middle group gathering begins, but all three members do not attend.
21st day, Day of the Water Sheep, rain. The clerk Kurō, who had been going to Echizen-no-suke Shigesi's place for calligraphy practice, discontinues this arrangement. Additionally, Takakura requests Keinei to teach reading, and he begins going today. I send two momme of silver for fan fees. This is for the Book of Songs.
23rd day, Day of the Wood Rooster, clear weather. There is a general assembly of elders and youth, and it is my turn to serve. I request Kōsei to serve as substitute. The matter concerns a notification of family expulsion and disinheritance for Miyake Sazen-no-suke; his rank certificate is returned and he is expelled from the shrine family roster, which is announced.
26th day, Day of the Earth Rat, clear weather. The mother of retainer Kameshirō dies at age eighty-six. I send one piece of silver as incense money.
27th day, Day of the Earth Ox, cloudy. From before the hour of the Tiger this morning, the abbot's quarters, main hall, bell tower hall, etc. of Seigan-ji Temple burn down. All three of us attend the imperial family to inquire about their well-being.
Second Month (30 days)
5th day, Day of the Fire Monkey, clear weather. This is the Kasuga Festival. ○For the imperial family's 100-momme religious association's 21st meeting, I serve at Sanbongi as usual.
6th day, Day of the Fire Rabbit, clear weather. Kida Shōzaemon's clerk comes to pay New Year's respects. Since a thousand-ryō investment association is to be organized this time, the clerk Ushichi is granted his first audience in recognition of his meritorious service, and afterwards is bestowed celebratory sake and food.
