現代語訳
八日己亥晴れ、この度御鎮守の御修復につき今日木作始め、吉刻は辰の刻なり。大工縁蔵、檜皮屋太兵衛が参上。刻限掛りは諸大夫保田遠江守が浄衣、御用人佐々木太宰大監が狩衣、御勘定方経千が麻上下、御鎮守方鈴木隼人が雑色にて各々面の方に薄縁を敷いて着座。賄方権左衛門、北の方が円座に着く。正中中門外に荒薦を敷き設け、高八脚を正中に、神酒錫一対、南方に白蒸、北の方に鯣を各々三方に乗せ、その前に荒薦を敷き柱一本を設ける。次に大工が黒指金・斧を持参し、左に墨、右に指金を置き、斧にて柱の正中左右三所を打ち、終わって各々退下。総じて大工・檜皮屋役のうち、もっとも供侍の品は先規にて両人よりこれを調進する。右の備物は直ちに御前へ差し上げ、一統へも下される。大工・檜皮屋へ御祝儀銀三匁ずつ、御祝酒等を下されて退出する。○御燈講につき三本木へ出役すること例の如し。

十一日壬寅晴れ、西中手勘定、三人とも参らず。○薩州侯伏見御通行御帰国につき当八日より千代蔵が伏見へ出張、市蔵を召し連れ、伏見表一日の御在滞につき瀬尾・中嶋等よりの御眼納献上物を大坂納めの趣につき千代蔵直ちに下坂、右御用以下相勤むべきところ伏見にて相済み、昨日御乗船後伏見より申半刻に帰宅せしめ終わる。
十三日甲辰晴れ、神楽講定日出役例の如し。○宇治よりお栄が丑之助を連れて入来。お栄のことは重服中につき路子より入り、一月の間部屋二間を下し、堺屋より飯以下を取る。

Generally, among the carpenter and cypress bark craftsman roles, the attendant items are prepared by both men according to precedent. These prepared items are immediately presented before the deity and also bestowed upon everyone. 10th day, Day of the Metal Ox, clear weather. For the first invitation since Lord Takatsukasa's new relationship, the visit begins from the hour of the Sheep. The retinue wears jo, tōmoku, and hemp formal wear. The return is at half past the hour of the Dog. Gifts from Lord Takatsukasa are as follows:
From His Excellency the Regent: a pair of Yoshinobu landscape paintings, a brazier with proclamation
From His Excellency the Major Captain of the Left: a Yamato-inscribed flute in a bag with willow box stand, tied with plum blossom branches
From Lady Kamegimi: a fish bag with gold wrapping like red mushrooms, same willow box stand with pine branch attachments
From our side: 500 mon in gold to the chief retainer service, the same 500 mon to the head lady and all ladies, 200 mon in gold to all the ladies of the administrative office, etc.
11th day, Day of the Water Tiger, clear weather. For the western middle accounting, all three do not attend. ○Due to the Satsuma lord's passage through Fushimi on his return to his domain, from the 8th, Chiyozō goes on assignment to Fushimi, taking Ichizō with him. For the one-day stay in Fushimi, tribute items for inspection from Seo, Nakajima, and others are to be delivered to Osaka, so Chiyozō goes directly to Osaka. Though he should have performed this duty and others, it was completed in Fushimi, and after boarding the ship yesterday, he returned home from Fushimi at half past the hour of the Monkey.
