寛和元年正月、奝然が宋から帰国した。仏像や一切経などを持参した。十月、兼家の東三条の館に天皇が行幸された。十一月、石清水八幡宮に行幸。十二月、加茂神社に行幸。これを両社行幸と呼ぶ。
二年、六月、強盗団の頭目である藤原保輔という者が、中納言藤原顕光の家に立てこもっていた。官兵を派遣してこれを捕らえようとしたが、保輔は自害した。八月、兼家が二条京極の邸宅を新築し、百官を招いて宴会を開いた。源頼光が馬三十匹を引いてきて、左右大臣以下の人々にこれを配り分けた。十一月、兼家の館に天皇が行幸し、その六十歳の祝いを行った。家司二人が任官した。

In the first year of Kanna (985), in the first month, Chōnen returned from Song China, bringing back Buddhist statues and the complete Buddhist sutras. In the tenth month, the Emperor made an imperial visit to Kanetsune's Higashi-Sanjō mansion. In the eleventh month, he visited Iwashimizu Shrine. In the twelfth month, he visited Kamo Shrine. This is called the "visit to both shrines."
In the second year, in the sixth month, the leader of a gang of robbers named Fujiwara no Yasusuke barricaded himself in the house of Middle Counselor Fujiwara no Akimitsu.
