[前ページからの続き]、甚だ睦まじかった。伊周は嫡流であったけれども、道長に越えられることを怨んで、女院をも調伏するという噂があったため、花山法皇を射た罪科について、色々と申し立てて、道長が沙汰した。七月、道長が左大臣となる。藤原顕光が右大臣となる。兼道の子である。
三年四月、伊周・隆家が召し帰される。中宮定子が皇子を誕生されたためである。定子は伊周の妹である。伊周は流罪を憤って髪を下ろされた。されども寵愛は変わらないということであった。七月、大納言藤原公季が内大臣となる。師輔の末子で、道長の叔父である。八月、多田満仲が卒去する。寛和の頃より剃髪して、摂州多田院に閑居していた。今年八十八歳と聞こえた。その子頼光・頼親・頼信は武芸に達して、朝家の守りとなった。

In the seventh month, Michinaga became Minister of the Left. Fujiwara no Akimitsu became Minister of the Right. He was the son of Kanemichi.
In the fourth month of the third year, Koremasa and Takiie were recalled from exile. This was because Empress Teishi gave birth to a prince. Teishi was Koremasa's younger sister. Koremasa, indignant about his exile, took the tonsure. However, it is said that [the Emperor's] affection for [Teishi] remained unchanged. In the seventh month, Dainagon Fujiwara no Kinsue became Minister of the Interior. He was the youngest son of Morosuke and Michinaga's uncle. In the eighth month, Tada no Mitsunaka died. He had taken the tonsure around the Kanna era and lived in retirement at Tada-in in Settsu Province. He was said to be eighty-eight years old this year. His sons Raikō, Yorichika, and Yorinobu were accomplished in military arts and served as protectors of the imperial court.
