（俊経朝臣ならびに医師の高天は、讃岐国へ流罪となった。陰陽助の定棟は召し捕らえられて、禁獄（投獄）された。これらの者たちは、よく狐を使って義持を呪ったという風聞があったためである。）十月、義持の病気が平癒した。
同月、広橋大納言兼宣、裏松参議義資、日野参議有光、勧修寺左中弁経興らが室町殿へ参候したが、皆、理由もなく追い込められ蟄居を命じられた。年月を経て後に赦免された。十二月、西園寺実永が右大臣を辞した。三条公光が右大臣に転じ、大炊御門大納言宗氏が内大臣に任じられた。
二十八年正月元日、義持が参内し院参した。同月、鎌倉の左兵衛督持氏の使者、木戸駿河守が上洛し、持氏の三位への昇進を謝し、義持の不例（病気）からの快復を賀した。四月、大炊御門内大臣宗氏が薨去した。七月、一条大納言兼良が内大臣に任じられた。

In the same month, Hirohashi Grand Counselor Kananobu, Uramatsu Counselor Yoshisuke, Hino Counselor Arimitsu, and Kajūji Left Middle Controller Tsuneoki and others presented themselves at the Muromachi Palace, but were all, without apparent reason, confined to their residences under house arrest (chikkyo). After the passage of some years, they were pardoned. In the twelfth month, Saionji Sanénaga resigned from the position of Minister of the Right. Sanjō Kimimitsu was transferred to become Minister of the Right, and Ōinomikado Grand Counselor Muneuji was appointed Minister of the Center (Naidaijin).
In the twenty-eighth year, on the first day of the first month, Yoshimochi attended the Imperial Court and paid respects at the Retired Emperor's residence (In-san). In the same month, Kido, the Governor of Suruga, arrived in the capital as an envoy of Kamakura's Superintendent of Left Imperial Guards Mochiuji, to express gratitude for Mochiuji's promotion to the Third Rank and to congratulate Yoshimochi on his recovery from illness. In the fourth month, Ōinomikado Naidaijin Muneuji passed away. In the seventh month, Ichijō Grand Counselor Kaneyoshi was appointed Minister of the Center.
