同月、後小松上皇が相国寺に行幸され、義量がお供をした。義持はすでに政権を義量に譲り、管領の畠山満家が補佐していた。義持は洛辺の各地を遊覧していた。今年、九条満教が関白を辞し、二条の左府持基が関白に任じられ、一条の内府兼良が右府に任じられた。洞院の大納言満季が内府に任じられた。
三十二年正月、義量が正四位下に叙せられた。二月十六日、上皇の第二皇子が薨去された。同月二十七日、征夷大将軍・参議・中将の源義量が逝去した。年十九歳。長得院と号す。在職わずか三年であった。四月、義量の近習の士たちが義持に謁見した。管領の畠山満家および伊勢因幡入道昭心が、伊勢守は平氏の余流であり、室町家代々の近習として、営中の事を奉行してきた者であると申し次いだ。同月、後円融院の三十三回忌が仙洞にて法要として行われた。

In the same month, the Retired Emperor Go-Komatsu made an imperial visit to Shōkoku-ji, and Yoshikazu accompanied him in attendance. Yoshimochi had already relinquished governance to Yoshikazu, with the kanrei (deputy shogun) Hatakeyama Mitsuie serving as his regent and assistant. Yoshimochi was touring various places around the capital at leisure. That year, Kujō Mitsunori resigned as regent (kanpaku), and Nijō no Safu Mochimoto was appointed kanpaku, while Ichijō no Naifu Kaneyoshi was appointed to the Right Minister's position. Tōin Dainagon Mitsusue was appointed to the position of Naifu (Minister of the Center/Middle Counselor).
In the thirty-second year [of Yoshimochi's rule], in the first month, Yoshikazu was conferred the rank of Shō-shii-no-ge (Senior Fourth Rank, Lower Grade). On the sixteenth day of the second month, the second prince of the Retired Emperor passed away. On the twenty-seventh day of the same month, the Sei-i Taishōgun, Sangi, and Chūjō, Minamoto no Yoshikazu, passed away at the age of nineteen. He was posthumously titled Chōtoku-in. His tenure in office was a mere three years. In the fourth month, the close attendants of Yoshikazu had an audience with Yoshimochi. The kanrei Hatakeyama Mitsuie, together with Ise Inaba-nyūdō Shōshin, reported in succession that the Ise no Kami was a descendant of a branch of the Taira clan, and had served as a close attendant to the Muromachi family for generations, administering matters within the shogunal compound. In the same month, a memorial Buddhist service was held at the Sentō (the Retired Emperor's palace) for the thirty-third anniversary of the death of Retired Emperor Go-En'yū.
