Harumoto fled to Kutsuki. In the ninth month, Yoshiteru and Harumoto set out from Sakamoto and raised their banner at the castle of Shōgunzan. They fought a battle against Matsunaga Danjō at Shirakawa.
In the eleventh month, they made peace with Miyoshi Nagayoshi. Yoshiteru returned to the capital, and Harumoto was confined at Akutagawa and placed under house arrest, where he eventually died.
In the fifth month of the second year (of Eiroku, 1559), Nagao Kagetora of Echigo entered the capital. He had an audience with Yoshiteru and was granted the position of Kantō Kanrei (Deputy of the Kantō region). He also received the character "teru" (輝) from Yoshiteru's name, taking the name Terutora. He returned home after some months.
In the first month of the third year (1560), the Imperial Enthronement Ceremony was performed. The expenses for this were covered by contributions from Mōri Motonari, for which he was appointed Daizen no Daibu and received the chrysanthemum and paulownia crests. He was later appointed Governor of Mutsu. Motonari claimed to be a descendant of Ōe no Hiromoto. It was perhaps for this reason that he sought to follow the precedent of Hiromoto in holding the titles of Daizen no Daibu and Governor of Mutsu.
In the fifth month, Imagawa Yoshimoto departed from Suruga, passed through Tōtōmi and Mikawa, and at Okehazama in Owari, against Oda...
