節氏人中ゟ罷下候岡本宮内ヲ被為加
初而七家ヲ被定置候其節罷下候惣代
之者共存候は岡本宮内を御加被遊候故
惣氏人も神主迄昇進仕ル形儀相立候儀
と奉存御請申上候ニ付則御裁許状被
成下惣代之者共罷登り為読聞一同ニ
謹而承知仕候其節社家中え被成下候
御裁判状之内一ケ条ニ
本社神主正祢宜正祝権祢宜権祝
并片岡貴布祢両社之祢宜祝も相伝
之社司松下森鳥居大路林梅辻冨野
并今度岡本宮内相加之以七家可勤
之新宮大田若宮奈良澤田氏神六
社之祢宜祝は氏人十六流之内社家中
相談之上以相応之人如先規伝奏
致言上可任之事
現代語訳
その際、氏人の中から(京都に)下向していた岡本宮内を(七家の中に)加えることが決定され、初めて七家が定め置かれることになりました。その時に下向していた惣代の者たちは、岡本宮内が加えられたことにより、惣氏人も神主までの昇進の道筋が立つものと存じ、(その裁定を)謹んでお受け申し上げました。そこで御裁許状が下され、惣代の者たちが(京都に)上り、(裁許状を)読み聞かせたところ、一同が謹んで承知いたしました。その時に社家中へ下された御裁判状の中の一か条に、
本社神主・正祢宜・正祝・権祢宜・権祝、
ならびに片岡・貴布祢両社の祢宜・祝も、
相伝の社司として、松下・森・鳥居・大路・林・梅辻・冨野、
ならびに今度岡本宮内を加えた七家をもって勤めるべきこと。
新宮・大田・若宮・奈良澤田氏神六社の祢宜・祝については、
氏人十六流の内、社家中が相談の上、相応の人物を
先規のとおり伝奏を通じて言上し、任命すること。

At that time, Okamoto Kunai, who had come down (to the shrine) from among the ujibito, was added to the designated families, and for the first time seven families were officially established. The representatives who had come down at that time believed that, since Okamoto Kunai had been added, a path for all ujibito to rise to the rank of kannushi (head priest) had been secured, and they humbly accepted the ruling. Thereupon, an official letter of authorization (gosaikyojō) was issued, and the representatives traveled up (to Kyoto), where it was read aloud to them, and all parties humbly acknowledged its contents. Among the articles of the official judgment (gosaibanjo) issued to the shrine community at that time, one article stated:
The positions of kannushi (head priest), shō-negi (senior associate priest), shō-hafuri (senior celebrant priest), gon-negi (junior associate priest), and gon-hafuri (junior celebrant priest) of the main shrine,
as well as the negi and hafuri of the two shrines of Kataoka and Kibune,
being hereditary shrine official positions, shall be served by the seven families of Matsushita, Mori, Torii, Ōji, Hayashi, Umetsuji, and Tomino,
with Okamoto Kunai now added to their number.
As for the negi and hafuri of the six shrine deities of Shingū, Ōta, Wakamiya, Narasawa, and Ujigami,
they shall be selected from among the sixteen lineages of the ujibito, through consultation among the shrine community, and suitable persons shall be reported through the intermediary (denso) in accordance with precedent, and appointed accordingly.
