人ヲ殺スヿヲ嗜ムノ僃ヘヲ明ニ廢止スル
ヿ吾願ナリ自ラ為セル災害ヲ早ク除却ス
ルヿ亦吾欲スル所ナリ我教祖ハ神人ノ閒
ノ媒酌ニシテ小少タル領地ヲ争フヨリ妬
忌ノ心ヲ起サズ且ツ假リニ人ト現シ禮義
ト宗教ノ威徳ヲ以テ衆生ヲ濟度セシ所ノ
菩薩ナリ
上帝ハ今吾陛下ニ願フ所ノ事ヲ聴スベシ
且ツ陛下モ神ノ孫ナリ吾モ亦神ノ孫ナリ
現代語訳
そのために、ここに微力ながら言葉を献ずるものである。
人を殺すことを好む備えを明らかに廃止すること、これが吾の願いである。自らが引き起こした災害を早く除去すること、それもまた吾の欲するところである。我が教祖は、神と人との間の媒酌人であって、小さき領地を争うことから妬みや嫉みの心を起こすことなく、かつ仮に人として現れ、礼儀と宗教の威徳をもって衆生を済度された菩薩である。
上帝は今、吾が陛下に願うところの事を聴し給うであろう。かつ陛下もまた神の孫であり、吾もまた神の孫である。
英語訳
For that reason, I here offer these humble words.
It is my wish that the preparations which delight in the killing of men be clearly and openly abolished. It is likewise my desire that the calamities wrought by one's own hand be swiftly removed. Our Founding Teacher is the mediator between God and man; He does not give rise to feelings of jealousy or envy over disputes concerning petty territories, and furthermore, having appeared in human form, He is the Bodhisattva who, through the august virtue of propriety, righteousness, and religion, delivered all living beings from suffering.
The Almighty shall surely hear that which I now ask of Your Majesty. And furthermore, Your Majesty is a child of God, and I too am a child of God.
