[Right page] 1. Gifts for the water-drawing maidservants are recorded or not recorded according to what is written in the section for the third day 1. From the second to the fifth day, during daily morning shrine visits, frequently upon entering the first torii gate, each person stops and waits for twenty people to gather at the record house, likewise in front of the bathhouse, likewise at these three places where they wait for the full number to assemble. With this understanding, regardless of being late or early, one must not walk ahead carelessly. Also, it is heard that at Ōta no Shiba they also wait for twenty people to gather 1. Due to last year's shrine reconstruction, costumes were newly made in Kanpō 3 (1743) {{However, the left side was newly made, the right side was renovated}}. Therefore, the costume magistrate gave advance notice to the horsemen that the sleeves and pleats of the sleeveless garments should be uniform in length for all twenty people, and they should coordinate the measurements. The measurements agreed upon by everyone at the government building during the costume preparation on the third day are recorded below: Sleeve length: 2 shaku 5 bu from the center of the back using whale measure Sleeveless garment (garment with open sides) Sleeve pleats {{5 pleats outside, 4 pleats inside}} {{The space between shoulder seams and pleats is 2 sun 5 bu whale measure. However, inside there are 4 pleats excluding the shoulder seam. The spacing is 2 sun 5 bu whale measure each. However, excess fabric at the bottom of sleeves is left as is, and the inner part is folded upward}} [Left page] These measurements were determined to be suitable for both adults and children through consultation. The reason for establishing these standards this time is probably because varying sleeve lengths with many fold lines would be unsightly and would also deteriorate quickly {{Private note: This refers to the deputy officials}} 1. On the morning of the fifth day {{before and after}} breakfast, shrine attendants carry horse assignment slips and call out from the gate requesting guidance from the annual steward, then return. This shows the horse colors that the deputy officials present to the twenty horsemen. After seeing these colors, each person is guided to ride that particular horse. While these notices should be shown at each horseman's home, they simply call out from the gate and return 1. On the night of the third day at the hour of the tiger {{However, they go in evening clothes without performing ablutions}} the procedure for visiting the sacred staffs. Although it says two people at a time, it depends on individual coordination. First, from the retreat quarters to before Nara Shrine, the third torii, stone bridge, second torii, passing under the north eaves of the fine hall, then distributing sacred staffs to Yamamori Shrine at Hashimoto Shrine's sacred grounds, next distributing staffs to Hashimoto Shrine, making one bow to Kataoka Shrine under the cherry gate eaves, then distributing staffs to Tanao Shrine
