【Right Page】 ...awaiting that guidance 1. When guidance comes, they go to the horse facility, and after the ceremonial greetings are completed, they lead the horses forward and enter the river. Next, the mounted riders (norijiri) report to the administrative building (choya) and properly tie their sleeve cords. Meanwhile, the inspector (kendan) performs the river positioning {{margin note: serving concurrently as Imaguchi}}. They emerge from the river in formation and request guidance to the administrative building. At that time, the mounted riders come out, assign attendants to each person's horse, and it is good to mount. 1. The Shidori horses first emerge from the river and are positioned at the eastern riverside of the御所屋 (palace building), with twenty horses lined up from north (first position) to south. The Shidori horses are positioned within the white sand area, 【Left Page】 standing in line with the southern end of the palace building's ridge. The Kanazu horses stand in the middle passage between the palace building and the Kirishiba area. The Anshi horses stand on the north lawn of the sandalwood tree. The remaining horses are positioned in order toward the south. This is the inspector's duty. 1. The riding performance: The Shidori horse is positioned slightly toward the palace building side within the middle area between the palace building and Kirishiba, rides slightly south along the southern middle pillar line, faces toward the shrine administrator and rides west {{margin note: this is courtesy toward the head priest}}, circling {{margin note: west side of the palace building}}. At about the second pillar from the north, they turn slightly right, show the horse to the administrator (shoshi), then turn left to show it again, and continue riding north along the northern pillar line.
