《割書：月沙汰があり、今は柵の本数が多い。奉行役は代官衆である。柵は毎年結ぶ次第の日記がある。》
《割書：競馬記には左が増頭、右が氏根とある》
一 朔日に服喪が明けて競馬に乗る例がある。天文二十二年六番《割書：左氏根、右増頭》
近江守氏根が一日に服喪が明けて乗った。永禄三年十番右修理進弘延、寛永六年十番右民部大輔弘之の廻状には名代を書き付ける。名代は内蔵助市顕である。元和四年《割書：二番右式部丞保重が服喪中になる》

一 永禄十一年、初乗の修理亮安顕が他国にいる故、代わって兄の掃部助尚顕が乗った。寛永四年、初乗の加賀守重満《割書：改めの房》が当年目代上判を仕られる故、代わって刑部大輔友直が乗った。寛永九年、内匠頭辰顕が初乗で江戸にいる故、代わって兵庫助国久が乗った。同十八年、保照が初代で保清の時の沙汰に云う。乗り手が所司へ案内の事で差し支えを申す時は、先ず次第に定め、遅参を除く。初乗は遅くても苦しからずといえども、同じく多勢にて差し支え候う時は、成るまじきという。《割書：という》

Eiroku 3rd year, tenth race right Shuri-no-shin Hironobu; Kan'ei 6th year, tenth race right Minbu-no-taifu Hiroyuki's circular letter records the substitute's name. One: Eiroku 11th year, as the first rider Shuri-no-suke Yasuaki was in another province, his elder brother Kammon-no-suke Naoaki rode as substitute. Kan'ei 4th year, as the first rider Kaga-no-kami Shigemitsu《Margin note: Aratame-no-bō》was serving as deputy with upper judgment authority that year, Gyōbu-no-taifu Tomonao rode as substitute. Kan'ei 9th year, as Takumi-no-kami Tatsuaki was the first rider but in Edo, Hyōgo-no-suke Kunihisa rode as substitute. In the same 18th year, when Yasuaki was the first generation and during Yasukiyo's time, it was deliberated and stated: When riders report scheduling conflicts to the administrator, first establish the order and exclude those who are late. Although it is said that first riders may be late without problem, when many people have conflicts at the same time, this should not be allowed.《Margin note: so it is said》
