是も斯道重代の人の所役也上鞠よりは次の
やくたるへし其式露拂の鞠はてゝ《割書：露拂の鞠をは｜　へのへし｜》
この役の人すゝみいつ枝につき侍鞠のもとへよる
《割書：枝に屏か立蔀かに｜よせかけてをくへし｜》主人右方にましさせは右の　　を
まつつきて蹲居して枝のもとを右の手にてとり
て左の膝より立て右回して下座の方懸二本

やりて土にふせて鞠を枝よりしたへなす右片手

をしやりて右の手にてまりのとりかはをとり
左の手にからへて左の膝より立てかゝり四本
の中へあゆみいてゝ蹲居してたゝしきなるに
鞠のくゝり目を我方へむけてとりかはをうへに
なしてをきて右廻してしりそきさまに枝を
とりて左のうしろのほうへつかはす也二付たる
まりのとき様かはりにへし枝をとりてあゆみ

これもこの道の重代の人の所役である。上鞠よりは次の役であるべきである。その式は、露払いの鞠が終わって（露払いの鞠を終えるべきである）、この役の人が進み出て枝につき、鞠のもとへ寄る（枝は屏風か立蔀にもたれかけて置くべきである）。主人が右方に座しておられれば、右の方をまず突いて蹲踞して、枝のもとを右の手で取って左の膝より立て、右回りして下座の方へ向かい、二本の間に蹲踞する（左の膝より膝をつく）。左の手で枝を立てるように土に立て、すぐに枝のもとを左の袖の下へやって土に伏せて、鞠を枝より下へ降ろす。右片手で鞠に結びつけてある紙をひねりを解いて懐中にしまう（狩衣を直し、前膨らみに入れる）。左手で枝をなお支え押しやりながら、右の手で鞠の取り革を取り、左の手に絡めて左の膝より立てかかり、四本の中へ歩み出て蹲踞して、正式な位置に鞠の括り目を自分の方へ向けて、取り革を上にして置いて、右回りして後退するように枝を取って左の後ろの方へ運ぶのである。二つ付いた鞠の時は様式が変わり、枝を取って歩み出て

This too is the duty of a person from a hereditary family of this way. It should be the next role after the ceremonial opening kick.
