第十八章
成熟した蚕を「まぶし」に入れて棚上に架けるには、蚕室を清潔にし、大気の通風が適切であることが良い。室中が蒸し暑く鬱陶しいのは、その害が最も大きい。

Chapter 1
Mature silkworms that have already begun to form cocoons complete their work in three days and nights, and transform into pupae in about four days. Their color and luster are like water, and after six or seven days they change to tea-brown color. At this point, those who wish to collect egg seeds arrange about one to (unit of volume) per basket, placing them one by one in rows on shelves
