第八章
すでに産卵を終えた蚕卵紙は、糸を付けて涼しく静かな部屋に吊るして置く。その時、卵種の中で季節に感応して偶然に孵化するものがある。これを再蚕という。その孵化したものを検査して、よく箒で掃き清め、元のように吊るして置き、鼠を防ぎ、汚れた空気を防ぐことを怠ってはならない。

第十章
蚕卵紙を貯蔵するのに冷たい水に浸すものがある。これは通常の習俗にすぎない。その方法は、まず初めに毎紙の重量が何匁かを量って記録しておき、寒中の晴れた日を選んで澄んだ水に浸すこと三日間にして、静かな室中に数日間吊るして置き、よく乾燥したものを籠の中に貯蔵する。この時、なお毎紙の重量を量ってみて、初めに量り記録した重量であれば、水分が完全に取れたことを知る。

The method is to first weigh each paper to determine how many monme it weighs and record this, then select a clear day during the cold season and immerse in clear water for three days, then hang in a quiet room for several days until thoroughly dried, then store in baskets. At this time, weigh each paper again, and if it matches the weight initially recorded, one knows the moisture has been completely removed.
