　　　之種類は皆葉裏に花實故に不る至心の所に苗生する者を乎

　　　梅園曰く
　　　山鉄蕉はその花が開いて、またその葉の形が孔雀の尾に似ているため、
　　　故に孔雀歯朶という。狗脊（せんまい）、陰地蕨（ふゆわらび）、その花も皆似ている。崖椶（がんそう）、
　　　鶏豆蘭、狗脊歯朶○鬼巻柏（おにしだ）○石長生（こうへらそう）○石韋（ひとつば）○金星草○
　　　これらの種類は皆葉の裏に花実があるため、根の所に苗が生えるものである。

　　　Baien says:
　　　The mountain cycad, when its flowers bloom, and also the shape of its leaves resemble a peacock's tail,
　　　hence it is called peacock fern. Kōseki (senmai), shade fern (fuyuwarabi), their flowers all resemble it. Gansō,
　　　keito-ran, kōseki-shida ○ oni-makigashiwa (demon fern) ○ sekichōsei (kōherasō) ○ sekii (hitotsuha) ○ kinseisō ○
　　　All these species have flowers and fruits on the undersides of their leaves, therefore seedlings grow from the root areas.
