**[Right folio]** In addition to the above, there are also oral transmissions regarding the order of procedures. The Song of the Song-Role Officer *Yamato Kamo* — "Should the western storm blow upon the open sea, to which shore shall we moor our sacred vessel?" The above is a general summary of the transmitted teachings received by Kiyoshi (Kamo-no-Kiyoshi), the *agata-nushi* (district chieftain). Right Capital Deputy Grand Steward: Kamo no Kiyoshige (Signed and affixed with a vermilion seal) One item: Lord Nonomiya Sadamoto stated: The divine body (*shintai*) of Kasuga Shrine — a sakaki-branch *shaku* (ritual scepter) Kami-Kamo — The Seal Box (*ji-bako*) 〔No longer extant following the fire〕 ; Lower Kamo (Shimogamo) — two mirror faces depicting cranes (alternatively: birds) 〔Said to be extant to this day〕 **[Left folio]** On the third day of the eighth month of the *Uma* year, transmission of the divine name 〔to Nobunao and Yoshishi〕, attended by Morinao. Examined/noted by Kiyoshige. Main Shrine (Hon-miya) Kotoshironushi no Mikoto According to the above account, that the gods descend with sacred songs comes from the fact that this precedes (everything) since the Age of the Gods. Also, that "the vessel's rim remains as it departs" — accordingly, there exists a place name meaning "the mooring of the ship." Furthermore, in the ranking order of the Twenty-One Shrines, since (this shrine's deity) is a deity of the ministerial class, it ranks next after Hachiman, it is said. Divine Rank: *Shō Ichii* (Senior First Rank) Kataoka-sha Ōnamuji no Mikoto Kibune-sha Takaokami (deity of rain and water) Shingū-sha Same deity (identical body with Takaokami) Ōta-sha Sarutahiko no Mikoto Wakamiya-sha Perhaps the matter of the New Hall (*shin-den*)
