英語訳
[Right folio]
This ceremony began in the seventh year of the Kanji era under the Retired Emperor Horikawa.
1. The Ainamesai (Harvest Tasting Ceremony), held on the first Day of the Hare in the Eleventh Month
In ancient times, this ceremony was conducted at the Jingikan (the Office of Divinities). It was thereafter attached to the single jurisdiction of the Kamo Shrine, and has been observed with great care every year.
1. First day of the Fourth Month
1. First day of the Eleventh Month Kifune Shrine: Okosae Festival (Okotsusai)
These are the festivals of Kifune-sha, a subsidiary shrine (sessha) of this Upper Kamo Grand Shrine. The shrine priests (kannagi) and the Kamo shrine families (shake), along with the Kifune negi (associate priests) and hafuri-shoku (ritual celebrants), receive imperial authorization (chokyo), and a great number of other shrine families also attend in service. However, it is clearly stated in the old records that from ancient times, the sole authority to administer these festivals has been held by the Kamo Shrine alone.
[Left folio]
Beyond the above, there are numerous other annual sacred ceremonies, which are omitted here.
