いや、これはまた国家の幸いでもある。おそらく先聖王が養蚕を勧めた意図が、初めて世に明らかに現れたのではないだろうか。また、僻地や遠い村では、行っても著しい成果がなく、習っても詳しく観察せず、終身それに従っていながら、その道を知らない者もまた多い。その道を知ることと知らないこととでは、その得失や利害は、どうして雲泥の差があるだけと言えようか。ぜひとも版木に彫って世に公表することを請い願って、やまなかった。

翁は言った。「いや、そうではない。遼東の豚のように、人の笑い物になることは久しい。しかしながら、詩人は下品だからといって葑菲を捨てることはしない。芹を献ずる真心があれば、君子はあるいはそれを取り上げてくれるだろう。」ついにその請いを承諾し、私に一言序文を書くことを求めた。私はもとより翁が忙しい合間を縫って、自ら一つ一つ実験し、一つ一つ書き記したことに感動している。その世を憂う気持ちは、まことに忠実で篤いものである。また
