事（ワザ）は。婦人（ヲミナ）の。務べき業（ワザ）ぞかし。これによりて。予（ワレ）も
勧蚕（コガヒヲスヽムル）の意（コヽロ）。源々【深くヵ】とへば。さきに。養蚕規範を綴り
て。其 委曲（ツバラ）なるを述。今又簡易をむねとして。此
養蚕摘要をえらびぬ。願はくは。養蚕（コガヒ）のこと。
盛（サカリ）に行れなば。国家の幸福（サキハヒ）ならむと云。

三棚分（みたなぶん）用意（ようい）する也．初午（はつうま）のころ．其（その）種紙（たねがみ）を三（み）つに切（きり）．一つ
分（ぶん）は常（つね）の通（とほり）取扱（とりあつか）ふ也．此分（このぶん）並（なみ）の如（ごと）く．八十八 夜（や）の頃（ころ）出生（しゆつせう）す

【右丁】
事（わざ）は、婦人（おんな）が務めるべき仕事なのである。これによって、私も養蚕を勧める気持ちが深くなり、以前に『養蚕規範』を編纂してその詳細を述べた。今また簡便なことを主旨として、この『養蚕摘要』を選び編んだ。願わくは、養蚕のことが盛んに行われるならば、国家の幸福となるであろうということである。

○一棚三返取（ひとたなさんべんどり）の仕様（しよう）
蚕棚（かいこだな）は、二組用意し《割書：一棚は、寄せ棚に必要。一棚は時期をずらして設置するための準備である》、種は寄せ上げ三棚分用意するのである。初午の頃、その種紙を三つに切り、一つ分は普通の通り取り扱う。この分は通常の如く、八十八夜の頃出生する。

Because of this, my intention to promote sericulture has deepened, and previously I compiled the "Sericulture Standards" describing its details. Now again, with simplicity as the main principle, I have selected and compiled this "Sericulture Essentials." I wish that if sericulture practices flourish, it will bring happiness to the nation.

○Method of "One Shelf, Three Harvests" (hitotana sanben-dori)
Prepare two sets of silkworm shelves 《marginal note: One shelf is needed for the gathering shelf. One shelf is prepared for staggered timing》. Prepare seeds for three shelves worth of raising. Around the first Horse day, cut the seed paper into three parts, and handle one portion in the usual manner. This portion will hatch around the 88th night as usual.
