Regarding the mother:
(In the genealogical record of a retainer of Ōkawara Chōhachi named Nori [#1], it is written at the outset that a daughter of Hori Kanbei Nagatake was the wife of Eguchi Eizen; however, this is not found in the present genealogy. It is also said that she may have been Kyūjūrō's younger sister, but the details are unknown.)
