- In the third month of Bunka 7 (Year of the Horse), the unit commander (*kashira*) Hyūga Saburōemon was granted retirement (*inkyo*) as requested, and the successor unit (*goyaku*) was assigned to the Obara Tatewaки unit.
- In the eighth month of the same year, he was appointed to a temporary provisional post (*tōza kariyaku*) as an assistant district magistrate (*odaikan minarai*).
- In the second month of Bunka 8 (Year of the Sheep), he was additionally appointed (*kenmu*) as assistant district magistrate (*odaikan minarai*) on a concurrent basis.
