損し漂着之由人数六十五人乗居申由に候
一右之通長崎へ参候船之由に付指図次第送越可申
哉之段日下部丹波守殿渡辺外記殿家老え対し
拙者共ゟ書状差遣候則為心得案文をも差越候
右之書状持参被指出口上に書面之趣申述御指図之
趣大早飛脚を以可被申越候右
長清様ゟ丹波守殿外記殿へ以御書被仰遣候間是
又持参可有之候
一右之唐船弥送越候様にとの事候はゝ如先規質唐人
取之此方之船に乗せ牽船を以送越申に而可有之候
且又水薪無之由筆談書付に相見へ候水薪へ見合
段々遣候様申付候其外野菜之類も望候はゝ遣可申哉
丹波守殿に相窺御差図之趣可被申越候
一筆談双方問答之書付四通指越候唐人出し候答之

損傷し漂着したとのことで、人数は六十五人が乗船しているとのことです。
一、上記の通り長崎へ向かう船とのことなので、指示次第で送り届けるべきかという件について、日下部丹波守殿・渡辺外記殿の家老に対し、私どもから書状を送りました。参考のため案文も送付いたします。
この書状を持参して提出された口上で、書面の趣旨を申し述べ、ご指示の内容を大至急飛脚で申し越しください。
長清様から丹波守殿・外記殿へお手紙で仰せ遣わされますので、これもまた持参されるでしょう。
一、この唐船をやはり送り届けるようにとのことでしたら、先例の通り唐人を人質として取り、こちらの船に乗せて牽引船で送り届けることになるでしょう。
また、水や薪がないと筆談の書付に見えますので、水・薪の手当てを段々と遣わすよう申し付けました。その他野菜類なども望むようでしたら遣わしてよろしいでしょうか。
丹波守殿にお伺いして、ご指示の趣旨を申し越しください。
一、筆談での双方の問答の書付四通を送付いたします。唐人が出した返答の原紙は丹波守殿へ提出してください。外記殿へも提出するため、写しも四通遣わします。
一、以上の件について、高木勘兵衛・福田十郎左衛門へも申し聞かせてください。

The ship was damaged and drifted ashore, with sixty-five people on board.
1. Since this is a ship bound for Nagasaki as stated above, regarding whether we should escort it there according to instructions, we have sent a letter from ourselves to the chief retainers of Lord Hizakabe Tango-no-kami and Lord Watanabe Geki. We are also sending a draft copy for reference.
Please present this letter and state the contents of the document orally, then send word of the instructions with utmost haste by courier.
Lord Nagakiyo will also send a letter to Lord Tango-no-kami and Lord Geki, which should also be brought along.
1. If the instruction is indeed to escort this Chinese ship, then according to precedent, we would take Chinese people as hostages, put them on our ships, and escort the vessel with tow boats.
Furthermore, the written dialogue indicates they lack water and firewood, so I have ordered that water and firewood be provided gradually. Should they also desire vegetables and such, may we provide these as well?
Please inquire with Lord Tango-no-kami and convey his instructions.
1. We are sending four copies of the written questions and answers from the bilateral dialogue. The original papers with the Chinese responses should be submitted to Lord Tango-no-kami. We are also sending four copies for submission to Lord Geki.
1. Please also inform Takagi Kanbei and Fukuda Jūrōzaemon of these matters.
