一一通り筆談相済候付今日又々飛脚差立丹波守殿
渡辺外記殿御家司へ対私共ゟ御書状御指図次第
彼地送越被申旨申遣候各両度之書状案文

一右筆談之書付写例之通差上申候今度之船は
前々漂着之南京福州船なとゝは違船も大き有之
由候尤長崎ゟ御下知有之内随分念入無油断相守
候様申付候弥長崎送越候様にとの御事候はゝ
如先格質唐人をも取牽船を以送越申筈御座候
此段追而可申上候
一右漂着船之儀并長崎え相伺候趣於其御地先
御届被成置長崎より御下知之趣追而言上之節
又々御届被成に而可有御座奉存候先年漂
着唐船御届をも御考合宜様可被成候此方

（前ページより続き）最初に提出された書付の原本も送り、丹波守殿へは徳永弥次右衛門が持参して提出するよう申し遣わした。
一、一通りの筆談が済んだので、本日また飛脚を差し立て、丹波守殿・渡辺外記殿の家老に対し、私どもからの書状にて、御指図次第あちらへ送り届ける旨を申し遣わした。各々両度の書状の案文も弥次右衛門に渡した。御用状の控えもご覧に入れるため差し上げる。長清様からも筆談が一通り済んだので、丹波守殿・外記殿へ書状をもってお伝えになった。
一、右筆談の書付の写しを例の通り差し上げる。今度の船は、以前に漂着した南京・福州の船などとは異なり、船も大きい由である。もっとも、長崎よりご指示があるまでの間、十分に注意を怠らず守るよう申し付けた。長崎へ送り届けるようにとのご指示があれば、先例の通り唐人を引き連れ、船をもって送り届けるつもりである。この件については追ってご報告申し上げる。
一、右漂着船の件、并びに長崎へお伺いを立てた趣について、そちら（江戸）においてまず御届けをなされ、長崎よりご指示の趣については追って言上の際に、またご届けをなされるのがよろしいかと存じます。先年の漂着唐船のご届けもご参考になさるのがよろしいかと思います。こちら（大坂？）よりご届けをなされる場合は、長清様よりもご届けをなされる前提でございます。直方御留守居と申し合わせ、間違いのないようにしております。

(Continuing from the previous page) We have also sent along the original of the document that was first submitted, and have instructed Tokunaga Yajirōemon to personally deliver it to Lord Tamba-no-kami.
Item: Now that one round of written communication (hitsudан) has been completed, we have again dispatched a courier today, notifying the chief retainers of Lord Tamba-no-kami and Lord Watanabe Geki that we will forward [the ship and crew] to Nagasaki upon receiving their instructions. Draft copies of both letters have been handed to Yajirōemon. The copies of official correspondence are also enclosed for your review. As Lord Nagakiyo has also completed one round of written communication, he has conveyed this to Lord Tamba-no-kami and Lord Geki by letter.
Item: A copy of the aforementioned written communication has been submitted as per usual procedure. This vessel differs from the Nanking and Fuzhou ships that drifted ashore in the past, being notably larger. In the meantime, while awaiting instructions from Nagasaki, we have ordered that strict and vigilant watch be maintained. Should instructions arrive to forward [the vessel] to Nagasaki, we intend to escort the Chinese crew and convey the ship, following the established precedent. We will report further on this matter in due course.
Item: Regarding the drifted vessel and the inquiry made to Nagasaki, we believe it would be appropriate for you [in Edo] to first file a formal report on the matter, and then to file another report when the instructions from Nagasaki are subsequently conveyed. We suggest that you refer to the reports filed for previous drifted Chinese vessels. Should a report be filed from our side, it would be done in conjunction with one from Lord Nagakiyo. We have coordinated with the Resident Deputy of Nogata to ensure there are no discrepancies.
