現代語訳
我が国の五、六語とするものもある。また事柄が重要でないものは、その煩わしさを嫌って削除し、あるいはそのまま訳出して意味の理解が困難なものは、その言葉を増加し、もしくは文章を変換し、段落を前後に入れ替えることがある。あえて混乱させようとするものではない。読者よ、これを疑うことなかれ。
一 私は公務の暇に家塾の子弟を教育し、またその余暇に睡眠と食事の時間を削って急いでこの書を翻訳するにあたり、文章は意味が伝わることを主とし、用語は理解しやすいことに努める。そのため普通の言語を用いて、あえて文辞を彫琢しない。

Also, for matters that do not concern important issues, we dislike the troublesomeness and delete them, or when translating them as they are makes the meaning difficult to understand, we add words, or change sentences, and sometimes rearrange paragraphs. This is not done to deliberately cause confusion. Readers, do not doubt this.
1. During my spare time from official duties, I teach students at my private academy, and in my remaining leisure time, reducing sleep and meals, I hastily translate this book. In doing so, I prioritize conveying meaning in my writing and strive to use terminology that is easy to understand. Therefore, I use ordinary language and do not deliberately embellish the literary style.
