右の負債は年々租税を先納させて償い、年々の利息7,444万9,153元は払わずして他の利息、隠居料、および養育料とする。故に費用の全集より甚だ少なく、1869年には1億2,822万5,000元なり。これは殆んど我が合衆国負債利息の高に相似たり。国債の増添するを厭うと雖も、フランス国において債主甚だ多し。1870年第6月29日兵端を開く前は借財の利息甚だ沸騰せり。

The aforementioned debts are repaid by having taxes paid in advance yearly, and the annual interest of 74,449,153 yuan is not paid but instead used for other interest, retirement allowances, and maintenance fees.
