小さなネジで小孔を穿ち、それによって上下させる仕組みである。そのため、銃を使用する際にその動作が思い通りにならない場合、無理に力を加えて引いてしまうと、注意しなければすぐに破損してしまうに至る。
【針打銃】
第四 この銃の薬包は、まことに完全無欠の発明である。また、その製造も容易であり、この堅固な薬包の中にある発火物は、いまだかつて撃針の作用によって前部に圧着されてしまうという弊害がなく、また雷粉（らいふん）が着火しないという不具合が生じることもない。
