看過（くわんくは）に載（のす）る図（つ）菌史に形
しめしに似（に）て稍小く面染紅
にして沢（つや）あり■（らん）【襽】#1と茎（けい）とみな
浄白（しやうはく）在ところ陰湿（いんしつ）の地皆
あり毒（とく）ありといへとも人を害（かい）
するに至（いたら）す或は曰／外皮（くわいひ）を去（さり）
これを食は毒なしと松岡玄

者多くは毒蕈なり蓋もみ

Red Mushroom (Benitake)
Figure recorded in Kanko In the Mushroom Records, its shape
resembles that of wet ground [mushrooms] but is somewhat smaller, with a surface dyed red
and glossy, both the gills and stem are all
pure white. Found in shady, moist ground everywhere.
Although it is said to be poisonous, it does not harm people
to the point of death. Some say / if the outer skin is removed
and then eaten, there is no poison, according to Matsuoka Gen
tatsu's statement.
In the Imperial Japanese Mushroom Records, it states that those near the Eastern Capital
are mostly poisonous mushrooms, probably momi
take [fir mushrooms]. One should choose carefully.
