【上段】
梁朝の傅大士
名は翕、字は玄風、また善慧大士とも号し、また東陽大士とも号す。十六歳で劉氏を娶り、二子を生む。普成、普建という。これなり。ある時、大士が自分の影を水に照らして観察していると、円光宝蓋を見た。普建がそれを指し示し、普成がそれを見て笑った。『仏祖統紀』に曰く、東陽郡烏傷県の双林寺という寺に居住されていた。一切経の目録が多くて見るのに苦労するとして、箱を一柱八面でくるくると回るように作り、輪蔵として末世まで残されている。大建元年四月二十七日に本州（中国本土）で遷化した。

【Upper Section】
Fu Dashi of the Liang Dynasty
His name was Xi, his courtesy name was Xuanfeng, also called Shanhui Dashi (Great Master of Good Wisdom), and also called Dongyang Dashi (Great Master of Dongyang). At sixteen years old, he married Lady Liu and had two sons: Pucheng and Pujian. Once, when the Great Master was observing his reflection in water, he saw a circular halo and precious canopy. Pujian pointed to it, and Pucheng saw it and smiled. The "Record of Buddhist Patriarchs" states that he resided at Shuanglin Temple in Wushang County, Dongyang Prefecture. Because the catalog of all sutras was extensive and troublesome to consult, he constructed a box with eight faces on one pillar that could rotate, creating a sutra repository (rinzō) that has been preserved until the present age. He passed away on the twenty-seventh day of the fourth month of the first year of Dajian in mainland China.
