According to the Treatise on the Great Perfection of Wisdom (Zhidu lun), Dīpaṅkara Buddha is the Buddha of Fixed Light (Jōkō-butsu). According to the Record of Buddhist Patriarchs (Busso tōki), Dīpaṅkara Buddha resided in the world for 8.4 trillion years and then entered nirvana.

Thirty Guardian Deities
【Main text】
The Thirty Guardian Deities are the protective deities of the Tendai sect. When the Great Master Jikaku was practicing the Sūraṅgama Sūtra in the cedar cave, one deity appeared each day to protect him. This deity is enshrined in Aichi District, Owari Province.
