現代語訳
というのは両村一体のことであるから、貝沼村だけで自由にできる筋合いではないが、神田に最も近いことから貝沼村で世話をしてきたところ、元来そのような事情であって、今更桜井村が持ち出しの甘酒と同様に開催すべき理由はない。よって慣例の通り甘酒は貝沼村で世話をし、その他神事万般について両村の差別を設けることなく、元来一村の義理を心得て和融し、滞りなく執行すべきである。

However, since both villages are essentially one entity, this is not a matter that Kainuma Village alone can freely decide. But because [Kainuma Village] is closest to the sacred rice fields, Kainuma Village has been taking care of [the arrangements]. Given that this has been the situation from the beginning, there is no reason for Sakurai Village to now hold a similar celebration with their own sweet sake. Therefore, according to established custom, Kainuma Village shall take care of the sweet sake, and regarding all other religious matters, no distinction shall be made between the two villages. Understanding that they were originally one village, they shall harmonize and execute [the festival] without delay.
