一 天明八（申）年七月、亡父の御擬作のうち二石・一人扶持を減じた十八石・三人扶持を下し置かれ、召し出されて外様組付を仰せ付けられ、春日仁左衛門組にて御城御番を相勤めた事。
一 寛政五（丑）年九月、追鳥狩の節に罷り出た事。
但し、この後ならし（習練）の節も合わせて五度罷り出た事。
一 同六（寅）年四月、去る秋の追鳥狩の節における足並み・列伍の次第が宜しく揃い、かねてより内稽古にも出精していた故の義と思し召された旨により、相組（同組）一

一 同十（午）年二月、御城御番を十ヶ年皆勤した段を仰せ出された事。
一 享和二（戌）年五月、頭（かしら）の春日仁左衛門が隠居したにつき、後任の御役は高橋与五郎組となった事。
一 文化四（卯）年二月、願いの通り御免山〆り方御用を仰せ付けられた事。
一 同年九月、「孫左衛門」と改名したい旨の願いが認められた事。

One entry: In the 7th month of the 8th year of Tenmei (Year of the Monkey), out of his late father's provisionally assessed stipend (*ogisaku*), [a stipend of] eighteen *koku* and three persons' rations — reduced by two *koku* and one person's ration — was granted to him, and he was summoned into service (*meshidashi*), assigned to the *tozama* unit (*tozama-gumitsuki*), and performed castle guard duty (*oshiro goban*) under the command of Kasuga Jinzaemon's unit.
One entry: In the 9th month of the 5th year of Kansei (Year of the Ox), he turned out for the *oitorigari* (the domain lord's ceremonial hunt).
Note: After this, he also turned out on five occasions, including training exercises (*narashi*).
One entry: In the 4th month of the 6th year of the same era (Year of the Tiger), it was recognized by [the lord] that during the previous autumn's *oitorigari*, the orderliness of his marching formation and his ranks were well-coordinated, which was deemed a result of his diligent practice (*uchi-geiko*). Together with the members of his unit, one [entry continues on the left folio]

One entry: In the 2nd month of the 10th year of the same era (Year of the Horse), it was officially proclaimed that he had performed castle guard duty (*oshiro goban*) without a single absence for ten consecutive years.
One entry: In the 5th month of the 2nd year of Kyōwa (Year of the Dog), as his unit commander (*kashira*) Kasuga Jinzaemon retired, he consequently came under the command of Takahashi Yogorō's unit.
One entry: In the 2nd month of the 4th year of Bunka (Year of the Rabbit), as he had petitioned, he was assigned to the duties of the *gomen-yama shimari-kata* (the office overseeing restricted domain forests).
One entry: In the 9th month of the same year, his petition to change his name to "Magozaemon" was granted.
