参上いたしました。もし陛下が私の術を試してみる御意思がおありでしたら、私は内服薬や外用薬を用いることなく、たちまち陛下の重い病気を取り除きましょう」と言った。王は喜んで治療を請われた。銅盤は私宅に帰り、ラケット板（羽子板のような物で球を打つ遊戯に用いる物）を作り、その柄に窪みを彫り、そこに薬剤を詰め込んだ。翌日、それを持って宮殿に入り、王の前に拝伏し、地面に接吻した（地面に接吻するのはこの地方の敬礼である）。王にお願いして、ラケット場にお越しいただき、王には昨夜製作したラケットを持たせ、その持ち方も詳しく示し、朝臣たちと共に馬上で球を打ち、勝敗を競わせた。
