は印土王の少女に侍（は）べるが臣僕と共に此野を

入り込み、途方に暮れて躊躇していたところ、突然女子の泣き声が程近く聞こえたので、怪しみながら声のする方に馬を寄せてみると、年若い女の衣装が美麗で容貌がとても美しく上品な者が、路傍でしくしくと泣き伏していた。王子が怪しんで「何者であるか」と問うと、その少女は答えて「私はインドの王の娘でございますが、家臣たちと共にこの野を通る時、眠気に誘われて馬から下に転げ落ちたのでしょう。眠っていたのでそれさえ知りませんでした。今目を覚ましましたが、身は独りでこのように恐ろしい野の中におり、家臣たちにさえも見捨てられ、行くべき道も
