を曳出して刑に䖏せよと命じたり銅盤は其状
を見て朝臣の中巳#3が冨貴尊榮を猜みて王に讒
する者あることを悟り再ひ王に向ひ微臣陛下不
治の痼疾を醫したるの功を賞するの法此の如
く苛なるや願くは微臣が露命を生存（ながらへ）しめ玉#4へ
若し王微臣を虐殺せは王もやがて其報ひある
現代語訳
少しも躊躇なく「お前の陰謀は既に暴露された。お前はもともと私を殺すための刺客であることを、私に告げる者があって早くからこれを知っていた。どのように弁明しようとも許し難い」と言い放ち、一人の朝廷官吏を振り返って「速やかに異国の刺客を引き出して刑に処せよ」と命じた。銅盤はその様子を見て、朝臣の中に自分の富貴や栄華を妬んで王に讒言する者がいることを悟り、再び王に向かって「微臣が陛下の治らない持病を治療した功績に対する褒賞の方法がこのように酷いものでしょうか。願わくは微臣の命を生かしておいてください。もし王が微臣を虐殺すれば、王にもやがてその報いがあるでしょう」
英語訳
without any hesitation: "Your conspiracy has already been exposed. I have long known that you are originally an assassin sent to kill me, for someone informed me of this. No matter how you might plead, you cannot be forgiven." He declared this and turned to one of the court officials, commanding: "Quickly drag out this foreign assassin and execute him." Seeing this situation, the Copper Plate realized that among the court ministers there were those who envied his wealth and honor and slandered him to the king. He turned to the king again and said: "Is this harsh treatment the way to reward a humble retainer who cured Your Majesty's incurable chronic illness? I beg you to spare this humble retainer's life. If Your Majesty murders this humble retainer, Your Majesty too will eventually face retribution for it."
