て快く刀を受けよと言ひながら彼冊子を受取
り劊手（たちとり）に命して銅盤の頭を刎（はね）之を盆に載せし

それは微臣の願いではありません。願わくは臣の無実をお察しくださり、死罪をお赦しください」と言葉を詰まらせて嘆き願ったけれども、王は首を左右に振って「その願いは許し難い。もし汝の罪が冤罪であったとしても、死後に頭が能く言葉を話すような珍しい出来事があるのであれば、この一事だけでも既に汝の頭は汝の身に付いていることはできないのである。ましてや汝に陰謀があるのであればなおさらだ。すぐに心を決めて潔く刀を受けよ」と言いながら、彼の冊子を受け取り、処刑人に命じて銅盤の首を斬り落とし、それを盆に載せさせたところ、その言葉の通りたちまち出血が止んだ。不思議な
